Thanks to digital technologies, our working world is changing fundamentally, radically and rapidly. What skills do we need for this?

"The need for manual and physical skills as well as basic cognitive skills will decrease, but the demand for technological, social, emotional and higher cognitive skills will increase" I read in a McKinsey report from June 2021.

For my work as a lecturer, one aspect is important to me: soft skills that have a high relation to employment opportunities of the future are, for example, adaptability, the ability to deal with uncertainty and the ability to synthesise what is essential from information, according to the report. Unfortunately, I still see far too much "bulimic learning" even at universities. Simply stuffing it in and reproducing it to fit the exam cannot be conducive to this, in my opinion.

I demand that of myself: Get into action even faster in the lectures. Because "doing" strengthens more than learning by heart.
