This McKinsey study shows opportunities for marketing in and after the pandemic.

How do I market my products and services in the "next normal"? McKinsey names six aspects:

1. Leveraging growth in e-commerce,
2. expanding digital service offerings,
3. understanding people's homes as the new control center of their lives and drawing the right conclusions from this,
4. acting and addressing more locally,
5. investing in safe local shopping experiences, and
6. showing attitude.

All of this, of course, requires strategic and creative shifting (as well as good data and, above all, a clear view of what the customer expects). Change, after all. Can't do it without doing it!

Anyone can understand the principle in no time, and even apply it - you bet!

For this purpose, Dark Horse Innovation has put a website on the Internet with an entertaining and instructive inventor test. It takes 20 minutes.
Time that I think is well invested. Have fun with it!

What are the implications for us humans and for which industry?

This is what the Belgian team of the "Board of Innovation" has thought through with the help of the #scenario technique.

An exciting planning technique, a detailed elaboration. A lot I think is likely, and still hope in some places that it doesn't happen.

It's your own fault!

  • Teaser Macht Sinn EN: Study on why change fails in companies.
Today I have a study on why change fails in organizations:

The top 3 statements on this: Employees are not involved, managers do not share changes and do not live them, there is no real dialogue. That's what press offices and PR agencies say in the #Trendreport2020.

Unfortunately, no new findings and all the more a pity that they were confirmed once again. Change cannot succeed like this.

Especially now, when change is accompanied by a lot of uncertainty, it is all the more important that we use this lever skillfully and correctly.

Equal opportunities

  • Titel des Beitrags EN: Equal opportunities
  • Kachelbild hochladen 16:9 EN: Equal opportunities
  • Teaser Macht Sinn EN: When acceptance of flexible working time models and mobile working increases, this creates equal opportunities for women and men.
This is currently the case, shows a study conducted in April by the "Initiative Chefsache":

40 percent of employees affirm that the acceptance of mobile working has increased and 30 percent see a greater willingness to deal with flexible working time models.

And, "Among managers, acceptance of these measures has increased even more: 46 percent for mobile working and 35 percent with regard to flexible working time models."

Will that remain the case after the pandemic? Certainly only if we actively work to ensure lasting acceptance.
